Solara Conservation Foundation
A foundation built on the belief that wildlife deserves more than a photograph.
The Solara Conservation Foundation (in formation) supports wildlife protection, promotes education, and encourages ethical interaction with the natural world.

Our Approach
The foundation works with carefully selected partners and initiatives that contribute to conservation and education. Its approach is focused on long-term impact, transparency, and responsible collaboration.
Every collar tells a story.
GPS collars allow researchers to track movement, monitor populations, and protect species before they disappear. Every journey with Solara supports this work — directly and in the field.

Cheetah
Fewer than 7,000 cheetahs remain in the wild. This GPS collar tracks territory and movement — data that directly shapes protection programmes across East Africa.

Ousado
Ousado was burned in the Pantanal wildfires of 2020 and fitted with a GPS collar to monitor his recovery. He carries it still — and hunts caiman underwater in a way few jaguars do. Solara donates 5% of every Pantanal booking to Jaguar ID, who monitors him.

African wild dog
One of Africa's most endangered carnivores. This GPS collar tracks pack movement, territory, and human-wildlife conflict zones — essential data for long-term protection.
Our Commitment
The Solara Conservation Foundation is currently in formation. Our commitment is to build a transparent, independent foundation focused on long-term wildlife protection, education, and responsible conservation partnerships.
We are developing our first initiatives and will share updates as the foundation becomes operational.
Connected by a shared belief
Solara Safaris and the Solara Conservation Foundation share a commitment to wildlife protection and responsible interaction with the natural world. Both operate independently — the foundation under its own board and governance, focused exclusively on conservation and public benefit.
